Owned by the Sogrape Vinhos S.A. Established in 1942 by the Guedas family and now managed by its third generation, Sogrape is an international, quality wine, family company with a strong emphasis in developing strong brands.

Mateus Rose is one of the world most famous iconic brands and today it's popularity has gone from strength to strength with Irish consumers. In 2010 Sogrape celebrated a major award in recognition for its work in developing the Mateus Rose range when it was deemed European Winery of the Year by Wine Enthusiast Magazine.

There was more call for celebration the same year when Mateus Rose Sparkling won Gold at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles awards. The Sparkling is a non-vintage brut Sparkling wine, with a youthful, fresh and contemporary Style designed for any occasion.
