TORRES BRANDIES |
| |
The Torres family take their Brandies, like their wines, very seriously. They produce quite a wide range of styles and quality, but we have chosen the following three. |
| |
| |
Torres 10 is a benchmark style, with a fruity, fully flavoured palate. It is made using the native Parellada, Macabeo and Xarel.lo grape varieties. |

Torres 20 is a multiple gold medal winner in international competitions. The base wines are of Parellada and Ugni Blanc. These are double distilled in copper pot stills and the finest fractions are aged in Limousin oak. The brandy has an amber colour, tones of dried fruit and nuts and a lush, velvety palate. |

Jaime 1 is made from aged reserves and blended with some of the oldest soleras, some as old as 30 years. Finally, to these highly aromatic brandies are added a small amount of 1972 eau-de-vie from Folle Blance lees, from which the finest brandies are produced. Jaime 1 is a complex and silky brandy that lingers long after it is swallowed. |
