Join one of the Tullamore Dew's brand developers, for an intimate insight into the fascinating, magical world of Tullamore Dew Irish whiskey. Guests will be guided through the spectacular Tullamore Dew Range, and will have the chance to ask any questions they may have.

For only €20.00, guests will gain an insight into what makes Irish Whiskey and in particular Tullamore Dew so unique and wonderful.

Tastings are taking place on Wednesday 23rd of May in O'Neills pub, Suffolk Street, Dublin 2 from 7pm-8pm, and on Thursday 24th of May in The Duke, Duke Street, Dublin 2 from 8pm - 9pm.So come along and taste the Tullamore Dew range and see what you pick up.

Saint Clair Family Estate – New World Wine Producer of the Year 2012

The exceptional quality of wines from Saint Clair Family Estate has been recognised in a leading international wine show. Saint Clair Family Estate has been awarded the highly acclaimed New World Producer of the Year at the UK’s Sommelier Wine Awards. This unique competition focuses entirely on wines aimed at the on-trade. Judged by over 80 of UK’s finest sommeliers and on-trade buyers, now in its fifth year, it has developed tremendous credit in the industry. This year an astounding 1850 wines were entered.

Neal and Judy Ibbotson, owners of Saint Clair, are thrilled with this recent recognition, commenting: "The outstanding results are attributed to our programme of open-minded viticulture and a unique wine quality assessment system, which has identified superior sub-regions of Marlborough. This, combined with a strong team approach focused on quality, has led Saint Clair Family Estate to being one of New Zealand’s most awarded wineries."

The family-owned Marlborough winery has developed a strong reputation as a leading international wine producer, and achieving the esteemed award of the New World Wine Producer of the Year further cements this reputation.

Miguel Torres Snr Visits Ireland

The Irish wine world was buzzing last week with a visit from Miguel Torres of Torres wines. Miguel Torres’ last visit to Ireland was 5 years ago and time has not slowed this winemaker down. There were many events planned for the few days he was in town and they kicked off with a Masterclass for Findlater & Robert Roberts’ staff in the Red Cow Hotel, Naas Road on Monday 5th March. Some of the attendees had not only been around for the last Masterclass Miguel Torres conducted in Ireland but have since visited the winery itself so there was great excitement at the event.

Since arriving Monday 5th March, Miguel Torres attended an On Trade Sommelier focused dinner in Cliff Townhouse, various lifestyle journalist interviews including Bobby Kerr of Newstalk, a wine journalist lunch at The Port House Ibericos in Dundrum to a live appearance TV3’s Ireland AM with David Whelehan.

Highlights of the visit were Mas La Plana, Torres’ single vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, Gran Sangre de Toro which featured on the live Ireland AM show and from Chile, Torres Santa Digna Cabernet Sauvignon Rosé.

On this visit, Miguel Torres spoke about Torres’ commitment to the environment and their dedication to reducing the effects of climate change. Torres’ are investing in renewable energies from solar panels, wind parks and hybrid cars in an effort to do what they can to reduce their carbon footprint.

We were delighted to welcome Miguel Torres Snr to Dublin and to hear him speak on the wines we all know and love.
